My latest book, We’re Not Worthy, the history of ’90s TV sketch comedy, is out now.
I’m the author of five published books and the writer of three produced feature films, including the documentary Lords of Soaptown. I’m also an award-winning short film writer. I recently wrote the liner notes for an upcoming vinyl release of lost comedy by comedian Dick Davy. My short films have been distributed by NBCUniversal and Comedy Central, and I’ve written a pilot and a feature film for Jamie Kennedy Entertainment.
I’m writing my next nonfiction book at the moment, about an 80s film you’ve probably heard of and which I’m a massive fan of.
I have written numerous comedy albums for my sketch and improv group, Dan and Jay’s Comedy Hour, which just celebrated 32 years of being something. A third album is coming down the pike.
I occasionally blog here and used to sometimes for Collider. I have a memoir and another nonfiction book being shopped around, and am working on two books of satirical fiction, entitled Rebel Swan and Dan and Jay’s Comedy Hour: A Himstory.

- My fourth book was written under a pen name which you can probably only figure out by reading my memoir (see above).
